It’s time for our Second Annual spring Caring and Sharing event. The party is scheduled for Saturday June 1st fro 12-3pm. This was an exciting and fun event last year and, even though it was our first time, it drew a good crowd to the center. We are looking for an even larger crowd this year. The idea behind this event is to create a festive, fun, party atmosphere and have each merchant pair up with a local non-profit or charity and give them space in front of their store to set up a table and show people what they are all about. At the same time it is an opportunity for the stores and restaurants to get out in front as well and interact with the people going by. Last year we had participation from almost all the shops in the Calle Real Center and over 45 non-profits.
This year we will have 2 photo booths, 3 bounce castles, a balloon guy who will make balloon animals for the kids, the County Fire truck, AMR Ambulance, Goleta Chamber, a wondering musician, bands, dog rescue and adoption and more. Some of our generous sponsors are: Noozhawk, Rincon Broadcasting, Parentclick.com., Sidekick Creative, Big City Buzz, Doug Giordani and the Goleta Chamber.
This event is free to the public and sponsored by the Calle Real Center Merchants Association. Come and spend a fun afternoon at our Community party and Non-profit Showcase!
